Boger City UMC Preschool Celebrates 50th Anniversary, Sunday, March 26: Boger City United Methodist Preschool current and former staff, students, their parents, committee members, church members and anyone involved in any way with the Boger City United Methodist Preschool family tis invited to celebrate 50 Years of Learning and Loving God on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. for worship in the sanctuary. A reception will follow worship in the Fellowship Hall. If you are planning to attend worship service or reception, please call 704-240-9331. Newton-Conover Community Band Concert, Sunday, March 26 at 3 p.m. in the Betty Blackburn Auditorium at Maiden High School in Maiden, 600 W Main St, Maiden, NC 28650. The concert is free and open to the public. This project is supported by a grant from the United Arts Council of Catawba County. Performances by the Jazz Band the Concert Band with members from all over the region.

Lowesville Gospel Concerts/Vineyard Church, The Chitans, Saturday, March 25: Vineyard Church (formerly Living Word Ministries), 1062 South Hwy 16, Stanley (Lowesville), NC presents The Chitans from Toronto, Canada on Saturday, March 25 at 6 p.m. All our concerts are No Admission Cost, a freewill offering only will be received, and you are invited. We have concerts every 2nd and 4th Saturday. The church is located 1.8 miles south of the intersection of Highways 73 and 16 Business. Denver Nuggets Travel Boys Basketball Tryouts: The Denver Nuggets Travel boys basketball teams will be holding tryouts for the following teams: 7th-8th Grade Boys Monday, March 20th, Thursday, March 23rd, and Monday, March 27th from 6-7:30 p.m. in the competition gym at East Lincoln High School, 6471 Hwy 73, Denver, NC 28037; 9th-11th grade boys have the same dates 7:30-9 p.m. Players need to be at all three tryout dates if possible. All basketball players in Lincoln and surrounding counties are encouraged to tryout for the teams. Parent Permission, Medical Consent, and Information forms are required to tryout and can be electronically sent to you. Contact Chip Ashley, at [email protected] or call 704-718-5136.
