LINCOLNTON––Christian Ministry’s many volunteers are the ones who make its mission possible.
That’s the word Thursday from executive director Mitzi Williams. And to show appreciation toward its volunteers, a bash in their honor will be held this Tuesday, April 19, 5-7 p.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 493 Calvary Church Road in Lincolnton.
“If you have volunteered in any capacity,” said Williams, “whether it was for our LINC Home-Delivered Meals or the soup kitchen; emergency services, including our dock, pantry, warehouse and clothes closet; the Christmas ministry or nursing home ministry; or as a receptionist; or as one of our truck-drivers, committee members or anyone who has collected donations for the ministry; and if you volunteer any time, weekdays or weekends, then this event is for you!”
In other news, she added, the “Amazing Race Against Hunger” is coming up soon. This year’s event will be a scavenger hunt, held in downtown Lincolnton on Sunday, April 24, 3-4:30 p.m.
