LINCOLNTON––For Christian Ministry of Lincoln County, 2021 was a year of breaking records.
And according to executive director Mitzi Williams, the ministry is extending thanks to its many supporters and donors and wishing everyone in the local community all the best for 2022.
“Happy new year!” Williams said this week. “The ministry had a wonderful Christmas fundraiser!”
She continued that the final total for this year’s efforts was a record-setting $144,328.52.
“We are truly blessed to be in a community that supports those less fortunate,” she added, “and helps those in need to get back on their feet.”
With the help of its member churches, local businesses, social groups and individual supporters, Christian Ministry seeks to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate through its emergency services, soup kitchen, annual Christmas campaign, nursing home program and, for local elderly and shut-in residents, the delivery of LINC Home Meals.
