LOWESVILLE––The Georgia-based Morrison Sisters will perform a free concert, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m.
The Vineyard Church of Lowesville is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as Cooke recently noted, a free-will offering will be taken up.
The Morrisons are three young sisters, plus their proud papa, all of them from Calhoun, Ga. Wesley Morrison plays the guitar and sings back-up vocals, and he’s joined by his daughters, Megan, Kaity and Addie. All three girls sing. Megan plays the bass. Kaity plays the piano and the mandolin.
They will be, as Cooke noted, “a tremendous blessing to all who attend, guaranteed. You will be able to feel the presence of the Lord as they minister in song. Please do not miss this one!”
Also on the bill is the Mark Dubbeld Family of Moneta, Va. Mark and Janene Dubbeld are joined by their children: Elena, Channing and Britton.
As Cooke informed, the Dubbelds “are renowned for inspired, originally-penned songs, family harmony and a sincere desire to communicate the gospel through their music and testimony. They have been making a significant impact in gospel music and a great impact upon many lives, with a song to sing, a word to write and a call to answer.”
The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The church features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
