LOWESVILLE––The Pine Ridge Boys will perform a free concert on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m.
The recently renamed Vineyard Church of Lowesville is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as Cooke recently informed, a free-will offering will be taken up.
He recently extolled the Pine Ridge Boys. The group’s members hail from Inman, S.C., as Cooke informed.
“The Pine Ridge Boys have sung every year since the beginning of our concert series, which began in 2013,” he said. “Needless to say, they are one of our all-time favorites. They seem to get better every year. Bring a friend, and come hear some of the best in Southern gospel!”
He continued that the group features lead singer Steven Craps, tenor Steven Williams, baritone Wayne Shuford (born and raised in Lincolnton), bass Larry Stewart, pianist Zachary Clark and bassist Louie Sprouse.
The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The church features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
