LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Jason Brent Morrison, age 46, of Lincolnton passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2023 at Atrium Health Hospital in Lincolnton.
Jason was born May 18, 1976, in Lincoln County to Clarence P. Morrison Jr. and Barbara Neal Huffman. Jason was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, football and baseball. Jason was a graduate of LHS, Class of 1995. Jason was a Navy veteran and was employed at Timken. Jason loved watching the Denver Broncos, Chicago Cubs and the North Carolina Tar Heels play on television and would go watch the games in person when he could. He loved animals, he had eight cats and one dog. Jason enjoyed tinkering and helped anybody that needed help. Jason loved his family and loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knows him, especially his wife whom he treasured and his sister, Betsy, with whom he had a special bond.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clarence P. Morrison Sr. and Kathleen Seagle Morrison, Jacob E. Neal, Myrtle Bradshaw Koone and Buell F. Koone.
Jason is survived by his parents, Barbara Neal Huffman and husband Robert, and Clarence P. Morrison, Jr. and wife Linda. His loving wife Ashley Adams Morrison; children, Colin B. Morrison, Gage Mathis, Mara Mathis; sister, Betsy Morrison Sanders (Jerry), stepsister, Karen Huffman, stepbrothers, Kevin Huffman (Angel), Josh Love and Philip Duck; nieces and nephews, Tyrus Ramseur, Jaylin Ramseur, Mya Morrison, William Wilson, Corey Adams, Mason and Noah Bourquardez; also father and mother-in-law, Fred and LuAnn Adams; brothers-in law, Josh Adams (Brandee Pullen), Bryan Adams; sister-in-law, Kelly Bourquardez (David), and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care of the nursing staff at Levine Cancer Center, Lincolnton and all 1,000 members of his Team Jason Prayer Team.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 18, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Lincolnton.
