Betty Sue Womble Black
December 30, 1934 - August 31, 2020

HIGH SHOALS, N.C. - Betty Sue Womble Black, age 85, of River Street in High Shoals, died on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Mrs. Black was born December 30, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Robert Lewis Womble and Mary Louise Smith Womble. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion Black; and a son, Steven Mark Black. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a son, Robert Black and wife Clara of Lincolnton; two daughters, Margaret Kirkpatrick of Lincolnton, and Donna Mitchem of Newton; a sister, Ann Taylor of Lincolnton; two grandsons, Brandon Black and Roger Mitchem Jr.; and one great-grandson, Noah Mitchem.

No services are planned at this time.

Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Black family.
