DAR To Host Christmas Tea & Auction, Dec. 15
The event will be sponsored by the Vesuvius Furnace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at Vesuvius, the famed 18th-century mansion near Iron Station. Proceeds from this event will repair the headstone of Nancy Wagoner, wife of Revolutionary War Patriot Pvt. Edmond Wagoner. Additional funds will be used for the refurbishment of the Peter Forney Family Cemetery.

Seniors Morning Out participants will enjoy a variety of activities in December, including holiday celebrations and craft classes. NC MedAssist is holding a Mobile Free Pharmacy Event in Lincoln County on Wednesday, October 2. The event is open to any individual or family needing over-the-counter medications. Participants must be at least 18-years-old to receive medicine. Everyone will receive up to eight OTC items free of charge. No identification is required.
