INCOLNTON, N.C. - The Delta Sigma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International met on July 23, 2020 to plan for the upcoming year. The mission of this group is to promote professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. The meeting was held virtually via Zoom with 28 members attending. President Kennan Eaddy led the planning session.

Members shared good news and celebrations to begin the meeting. President Eaddy introduced a new member to the group, Millicent Heavner. Millicent transferred her membership to Delta Sigma from the Beta Epsilon chapter in order to affiliate with members in Lincoln County where she is now working as a school counselor at Lincolnton Middle School.

In the business portion of the meeting, the minutes and the treasurer’s report were approved. Bylaw revisions were emailed to the membership, and all members should vote via the Google form sent out by the president. To maintain social distancing, a video of the installation of new officers for the 2020-2022 biennium was sent to members on June 30, 2020. New officers are as follows: President – Kennan Eaddy, Vice-President – Sherry Hoyle, Secretary – Sheila Wright, and Treasurer – Lori Haight.
