Lincoln County Farmers Markets Open For 2020 Season

Lincoln County Parks &
Recreation Press Release

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - The Lincoln County Farmers Markets will open for the 2020 season on Saturday, May 23. Our Downtown Lincolnton Market will open be open Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. until 12 noon starting May 23 and our Market at DSS will open Thursday mornings, 8 a.m. until 12 noon starting on May 21. The Downtown Lincolnton Market is located at 225 West Water Street just one block off West Main Street behind the James W. Warren Citizen Center in Lincolnton. The Market at DSS is located in the parking lot of the Department of Social Services in Lincolnton at 1136 East Main Street.

The farmers market in Denver is no longer operated by Lincoln County Parks and Recreation and has moved to a new location.

As part of our opening, we are asking our customers and vendors to work within our new safety guidelines while at the market. Our vendors will be wearing masks and gloves at the market and we encourage customers to do the same. All vendors, staff, and customers must follow social distancing guidelines while visiting the market and stay 6-feet apart. Cash/coin transactions will be limited and we encourage card transactions. Only one customer will be allowed at a time with each vendor. Customers are asked not to touch any items for sale. Customers will point and select items they would like to purchase and our vendors will bag items. Curbside service is possible at both markets as well. If you are sick, we encourage you stay home and visit the market at a later date.

To continue to help our Lincolnton markets grow, Lincoln County Parks and Recreation is currently taking applications for new market vendors. The Lincoln County Farmers Markets are local markets and vendors are eligible to sell produce, meats, baked goods, soaps, crafts, plants, and other handmade goods. If you are interested in becoming a market vendor please contact John Davis with Lincoln County Parks and Recreation.

For further information, please call the Lincoln County Parks and Recreation office at 704-748-1518 or visit the Lincoln County website.
