Atrium Health Welcomes New Year's Babies

Atrium Health welcomed several New Year’s babies across the greater Charlotte region; the first of them was born at 12:09 Sunday morning at Atrium Health- Cleveland. Mom and baby were doing well and requested a little privacy as they celebrated the special day.

The first baby born in Mecklenburg County at Atrium Health-Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, arrived just a few hours later. Tyson Bishop was born at 2:30 AM, weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces. His parents, Amanda and Clint Bishop, were excited to welcome their new addition to the world and posed for a photo.
