LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Alyson Eaker was crowned Homecoming Queen during the halftime ceremonies at West Lincoln High School Friday, October 4. She was escorted by her father.

Congratulations to all the 2019-20 Homecoming Court and Class Representatives.

The 2019-20 Rebel Mascots chosen by the Senior Class were Paxton Farmer and Olivia Jenkins. They participated in the Homecoming festivities along with many representatives from school clubs and organizations during halftime.

One of the most anticipated events of the entire school year at West Lincoln is Homecoming. Every day had a different theme during “Rebel Pride Week” and the students dressed up for each day ending with the traditional Rowdy Rebel Day on Friday.

The annual Homecoming Parade was held earlier in the week through Downtown Cat Square. It might have been one of the shorter parades seen along this route but it had to be the most spirited with homecoming attendants, football players, cheerleaders, the marching band and many school organizations taking part.

One of the highlights of the week was the Tractor Parade on the track around the football field at West Lincoln before school on Friday morning.

Lots of friends, family, former alumni and West Lincoln football fans filled the stadium on Friday night to support their Rebels for the Homecoming game and halftime ceremonies. The Marching Rebels performed their competition show after the game.

The Rebels won the game over Maiden 28-27.
