Middle Schoolers Can Apply For Basketball Camp Scholarship
Each year, Rutherford EMC awards two Touchstone Energy Sports Camp Scholarships: one for a young man to attend the Roy Williams Basketball Camp and one for a young woman to attend the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball Camp. Applications must be postmarked by Sunday, March 31.

Just like last year, when they lost to eventual state champion Forest Hills in the regional finals, the East Lincoln Mustangs lost to the Yellowjackets Saturday afternoon at CVCC in Hickory.  The final score was 71-62.

The performing arts portion of the Senior Games will be held at the Lincoln Cultural Center this Saturday at 3 p.m. On March 12 the literary and visual arts display will take place and then on March 23 the athletic portion will be held at LHS. Make plans to attend one or all three!

NC Senior Wrestling All-Stars Win Over SC In Myrtle Beach
WLHS senior Jon Nathan Hull was named to the North Carolina All-Star team. Hull represented the 152-pound weight class and won his match 8-4. Coach Butch Ross was selected as one of the four coaches for the All-Star team.

East Lincoln, Maiden, Shelby, Lincoln Charter boys and the Newton-Conover girls are all headed to the second round of the playoffs Thursday night. John Bean of East Lincoln scored his 1,000 point Tuesday night.

The Lincolnton Middle School boys basketball team traveled to Shelby Wednesday, February 20 to play for the championship title. Shelby's team had an undefeated regular season and the Wildcats were hoping to give them their first loss.

Tadlock Makes 1,000 Point Milestone At East Lincoln
Brianna Tadlock scored her 1,000 point in the Lady Mustangs win Tuesday in Denver. The Mustangs also won. Others in action splitting their games were Lincolnton and North Lincoln, Newton-Conover and Maiden, Bandys and Lake Norman Charter. Both Lincoln Charter teams won with the boys scoring 105 points in their win over Cherryville.

10th Annual Valentine's 5K & Couples Run To Honor Local Olympian
The race has drawn some national attention being mentioned in the Runners Journal. Dylan Belles, a former local runner and graduate of East Lincoln, will be honored at the race. Belles now trains in Flagstaff, Arizona and has qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials in Atlanta, Georgia.
