Public's Help Needed To Help Locate Missing Man

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Lakewood Care Center at 7981 Optimist Club Rd., Denver, NC in reference to a missing persons report at 9:12 p.m. on August 7, 2021.

Deputies were advised that Charles Rickey Carringer, 56, had walked off from the facility and was last seen around 2:30 p.m. on August 7, 2021.

Charles suffers from a cognitive impairment. He is around five feet-eleven inches tall and weighs around 150 lbs. He is a white male, slender build, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He also has several tattoos.

Carringer was last seen wearing bright blue sneakers, blue jeans, a brown flannel top and a green jacket with a grey hood and a white baseball cap. He may be trying to get to the Gastonia or Bessemer City area.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Land search Team and Drone were dispatched and searched the immediate area but were unable to locate Mr. Carringer. He is entered NCIC as missing.
