Double Homicide Update
Gaston County Police have three suspects in jail in what appears to have been a drug deal that went bad resulting in a double homicide.  Two young men are charged with murder, the third, who was a victim but escaped with his life, faces drug charges.

Two Killed In Head-on Collision
A head-on collision claimed two lives Sunday evening in eastern Lincoln County.  
86-year-old Mahlon Brewster Strope and 21-year-old Cooper Gregory Snipes, both of Iron Station, died when Snipes' Camaro crashed into Strope's Altima.

Silver Alert Cancelled For Missing Man
We are awaiting further information from Gaston County Police.  The Silver Alert for Donald Edwin Joy, 91, who had been reported missing after leaving Green Meadows Golf Course on Kelly Road near Mount Holly on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, was cancelled at 8:15 PM Sunday evening (Feb. 7th).  Gaston County Police said they would issue a further update later.
