MLK Day & Snow Closures

Wayne Howard
Reporter

Lincoln County convenience sites will be closed Sunday because of the winter storm.  Catawba County had planned to have its parks open, but they are now closed for the day because of the weather.

Govt. offices will be closed Monday as will schools and libraries.  The city of Lincolnton will use a holiday week schedule for trash collection; see the city website.

For any business that will be closed because of the weather, feel free to add a comment to this article on our Facebook page or email us the info at lh@lincolnherald.com.  We'll be glad to include it at no charge.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

  • Car Ear Nose Throat will be closed Monday, open half day (afternoon) Tuesday
  • Al Lane Motorsports will be closed tomorrow but will be open Tuesday through Saturday. We are normally closed on Wednesday but will be open.
  • Catawba County’s Blackburn Sanitary Landfill and Blackburn Convenience Center will be closed Monday, January 17, due to inclement weather. Both facilities are anticipated to re-open Tuesday, January 18, weather permitting.

As a reminder, other county government facilities will be closed Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday. County parks are currently closed due to inclement weather until further notice.  Updated information about Catawba County’s current weather and holiday closures may be found online at www.catawbacountync.gov.
