LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Two missing children, Lodon Mckinzley Hunsucker and
David Camden Hunsucker, have been located with their mother in Gaston County and are safe. Detectives are working with the Department of Social Services to determine who has custody of the children.
On January 13, 2022 the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two missing children. The reporting party, Danielle Smith, told deputies that she was granted full custody of her two grandchildren almost two years ago. Approximately eight months ago she allowed to children to return and live with their mother.
The mother and children eventually moved to Gastonia. The grandmother told officers the last time she saw the children was the week before Christmas 2021. They no longer lived at a residence on West Poplar Street, Gastonia. The children have been removed from NCIC as missing.

Lodon Mckinzley Hunsucker is described as a six-year-old white female, around four feet tall and weighing 80 to 85 pounds. She has blue eyes and blond hair.
David Camden Hunsucker is described as a six-year-old white male, 3 feet – 5 inches tall and weighing 65 to 70 pounds. He has blue eyes and blond hair.
