In case you are one of those wondering what the big event at the James Warren Citizens Center Wednesday, it was the annual County Christmas Luncheon and Awards Program.
Laurel Helms, who works in the County's IT department, was named the County Employee of the Year. Ron Rombs was named Manager of the Year.
County employees who have worked multiple years were recognized; among them County Manager Kelly Atkins, who has worked for the County a total of 30 years, most recently as County Manager.
