Kings Mtn. Police Dept.
A Kings Mountain investment firm closed its doors last week. That's when police started getting calls about D&T Investments. Kings Mtn. Police say they're uncertain how many people were apparently swindled by the firm.
Investors said they were getting monthly earnings reports showing significant gains. Employees at D&T who were also investors showed off their big purchases, like an $85,000 truck parked outside the business.
Police issued this news release on Wednesday (Dec. 8th):
The Kings Mountain Police Department is currently investigating complaints of investment fraud related to D & T Investment Group, LLC, at 510 E. King Street. The Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating these complaints and at this time we are requesting any investors or potential victims to file an official securities complaint with the North Carolina Secretary of State's office.
