Lincolnton's Christmas parade Sunday afternoon was just one of the weekend events marking the beginning of the Christmas season. Tree lightings were held in East Lincoln and Stanley and Maiden had its Christmas parade Saturday night. Small Business Saturday was a big success as downtown stores were packed.
The parades continue this week. Belmont will have its Christmas parade Tuesday November 30th at 3:30; Mount Holly's Christmas parade will be Wednesday December 1st at 4 PM; Cramerton will have its parade Thursday at 4 PM.
The lights go on in McAdemville on Wednesday evening and will remain on display nightly until Dec. 26th.
This Saturday, the East Lincoln Betterment Association will have its parade at 12:30.
Kings Mtn. will have its parade on Saturday, too (3 PM), and Gastonia's parade will be Sunday (Dec. 5th) at 4 PM.
The Cherryville and Cat Square Christmas parades will be Saturday December 11th--Cherryville at 10:30 AM and Cat Square at 1 PM.
Santa's House returns to the northeast Courtsquare this Thursday and the carriage and wagon rides will be back downtown Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings from in front of the Owl's Nest or Treasures on Main.
The Lincoln Theatre Guild's "Best Little Christmas Pageant Ever" will be performed at the Cultural Center starting Friday--Friday & Saturday evenings at 7 PM and Sunday afternoons at 3 PM Dec. 3rd-Dec. 13th.
Breakfast With Santa will be this Saturday morning (Dec. 4th) at the Cultural Center.
