The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce held its annual banquet last Thursday (Nov. 18th) at Vesuvius Vineyards. The evening included the annoucement of the Lincoln County Man & Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year, chosen by the Lincolnton Rotary Club, is Dean Lutz. The Woman of the Year, sponsored by the Lincolnton Business & Professional Women's Club (BPW) is Judy Holland.
Rich Lyon, who operates his State Farm Insurance agency in eastern Lincoln County, was named the Small Business Person of the Year. American Woodmark was recognized as the Industry of the Year.
Ross Bulla, who operates the Treadstone Group and is involved in multiple charitable projects but most notably in the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse and Child Advocacy Center, was named the Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award winner. Local Roots & Provisions was named the New Member of the Year and Zach Tussel the Chamber Volunteer of the Year.
