LINCOLNTON, N.C. - A Lincoln County man died in a mobile home fire early Saturday morning, November 13, 2021.
Around 2 a.m. on November 13, 2021 Emergency Services personnel were dispatched to a mobile home fire on Oakbrook Lane, Denver, NC. where the residence was fully engulfed in flames.
Personnel were unable to make entry into the structure where a man lived alone. The man's daughter, who lives next door and reported the fire, told officers that she didn't believe he made it out of the mobile home. When the fire was extinguished the man's body was located in the middle of the home just inside the front door. He was identified as Carl Livingston Knight, 76, of 1140 Oakbrook Lane, Denver, NC.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.
