A young Gastonia man who reported an alleged crime got himself arrested by police last week. Matthew Tyler Judd, age 22, of 158 Twisted Oak Lane, Gastonia, reported an alleged fraud to Gaston County Police on August 18th. During the course of the investigation, County Police Detectives examined electronic devices owned by Judd. The examination led to the discovery of images and videos containing child pornography.
Judd was arrested Friday (Aug. 27th) and charged with six felony counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a child, six of 3rd degree sexual exploitation of a child and one of solicitation of a child by computer or electronic device to commit an unlawful sex act.
Judd is currently incarcerated in the Gaston County Jail on a $150,000 secured bond.
