Schools Report COVID Cases

During this first week of school for students, Lincoln County Schools reported 37 cases of COVID.  West Lincoln Middle School had the most--seven; followed by West Lincoln High and North Lincoln High, both with six; five at Norris Childers; four at S. Ray Lowder; two at G.E. Massey; and one each at Catawba Springs, East Lincoln Middle, Iron Station, Lincolnton Middle, North Brook, Rock Springs & St. James.

Supt. Dr. Aaron Allen had promised at both the Aug. 3rd & 10th School Board meetings to provide numbers and locations weekly.  They are being posted on the Schools website Friday afternoons.

At the request of Davin Madden, Lincoln County Health Director, Lincoln County Schools are currently requiring masks for everyone--teachers, other staff, students, vendors, etc.--regardless of vaccination status.
