Ashley Fisher, a senior this year at Lincolnton High School, was crowned 2021 Lincoln County Apple Queen Saturday night (Aug. 7th) at the annual BPW Apple Queen Pageant at the Citizens Center. Jordyn Powers, also a senior this year at LHS, was first runner-up. The two did LHS proud; they were previously winners of the Miss Lincolnton High School and Miss Black & Gold pageants.
Samantha Cox, a senior at North Lincoln this Fall, was second runner-up. Savanna Brooks, a 2021 graduate of West Lincoln HIgh School, was third runner-up.
Fisher was the evening gown winner and Powers was the swimsuit winner. The Apple of My Eye People's Choice winner was Kendall Getten, who'll be a senior this year at East Lincoln. Alexis Nantz, a senior at NLHS, was the interview winner. Lauren Padgett, who'll be a senior at West Lincoln, was chosen Most Photogenic. The Miss Congeniality award went to Sophie Powell, a 2019 West Lincoln graduate. Skyla Morrison, NLHS senior, was chosen for having the Best Smile.
Apprentice Awards this year went to Jasmine Campos, Isabella Brown and Emma Carpenter.
The pageant is supported in part by sales of ads for the program. The BPW gives a scholarship award to the contestant who sells the most ads. This year, that was Meghan Dymes, a NLHS senior.
