LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Two people are facing charges in connection with a home break-in in the 5000 block of Helms End of Trail in Lincolnton.
On June 30, 2020 the homeowners reported the incident to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and believed the suspect was the son of one of the victims.
During the investigation Detective J. Talbot discovered that Terry Edwin Walker was given a ride to the residence by Samantha B. Ginestri. She stood by as Walker entered the residence and returned with the stolen safe and other items. The stolen safe, which only contained personal documents and a checkbook, was recovered along with the other items.
Terry Edwin Walker, 18, of Shallow Creek Lane, Denver, NC is charged with one felony count each of safecracking, breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
Samantha Breeze Ginestri, 18, of Trinity Lane, Iron Station, NC was charged with one felony count each of aiding and abetting a breaking and entering and aiding and abetting larceny. She was given a $5,000 secured bond.
