Lincoln County's confirmed COVID-19 cases is approaching 100. As of Friday (June 5th) the county had experienced 98 positive tests for the disease; 34 of those were still active cases while 64 had recovered. The county still hasn't had a death from the disease.
Catawba County has added four more deaths to its total since Wednesday. 13 people have now died there from the disease. 14 new cases of COVID-19 Friday brings the total of active cases in Catawba to 171. 98 Catawba County residents have recovered, and six remain hospitalized.
Gaston County has had eight deaths; Gaston still has 90 active cases and 265 are said to have recovered.
Cleveland County has had 108 positive tests for COVID-19.
Mecklenburg County has now eclipsed the 100 death toll from the disease. 102 people have died there.
North Carolina's death toll is now 966, and the number of people hospitalized with the coronavirus went back up to over 700 on Friday.
