35-year-old Christopher Reid Scronce is back in jail again. Scronce, whose address on his latest arrest record was listed as Lincolnton, previously lived in Iron Station when he was arrested on November 3rd of last year by the Highway Patrol on a felony warrant as a fugitive from York County, South Carolina, where he was wanted for shoplifting. He was also charged in November with possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor larceny.
On Thursday (Jan. 14th) Scronce was arrested again by the Catawba County Sheriff's Office on bills of indictment for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Scronce is also charged with resisting a public officer and multiple highway violations. Scronce was incarcerated again in the Catawba County Detention Facility; his total bond this time is $33,500. A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for Friday (Jan. 15th). District Court appearances are scheduled for January 28th and February 22nd.
