Two Shelby men face charges after what is being called a shootout at a Shelby business Saturday afternoon.
Perrian Corzell Littlejohn, 20, was arrested Sunday (Dec. 6th) and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill resulting in serious bodily injury, possession of a firearm by a felon, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Timothy Rayshun Stevenson, 27, was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.
Police say the two apparently arrived at the M&M General Store at 720 Buffalo Street shortly after 4:30 Saturday afternoon. They got into an argument in the parking lot which continued inside the store, where both men pulled weapons and began shooting.
Stevenson was struck in the abdomen and was taken to Atrium Health-Shelby for treatment. Littlejohn fled the scene but was arrested Sunday by Shelby Police.
