Registration for children entering kindergarten will begin on Monday, February 15, 2021 and will continue through Friday, March 26, 2021. Children who will turn five years old on or before August 31, 2021 will need to be registered between those dates.

The forecast said there would be snow. It did snow in the mountains, and a little in the foothills around Hickory, but for the rest of our area, it didn't amount to much for most of the day-and doesn't appear likely to be a major problem now. The forecast caused area school systems to make cancellation announcements.

| Lincoln Charter Will Continue Virtual Learning |
Students at Lincoln Charter School in Lincolnton and Denver will return to classes after the Christmas break Tuesday, but it won't be on campus. The Lincoln Charter School Board voted Monday evening (Jan. 4th) to continue with virtual learning for all grades until at least February 1st.
