Invaders At Border Set To Destroy America
Is the USA going the way of Rome?

From The Desk Of
Thomas Lark

“Joe Biden could end this crisis tomorrow, by simply following the law.”

That’s how Texas senator Ted Cruz put it when he visited his state’s border last week for a firsthand look at the hordes of Hispanic invaders flooding into America. Cruz of course is problematic at best, and he’s nowhere near as conservative as he himself or his fans seem to think. But even a blind pig finds a truffle now and again. And he is at least right about the existential threat to America that is posed by said invaders.

Ted’s excellent adventure was down at the Del Rio International Bridge, located on the Mexican border, where some 10,000 invaders are being held, according to the Daily Caller. I refuse to call them “immigrants,” as most maddening media macaws do in their ever more petulant, pouting parroting way. Calling them “immigrants” is patently absurd, and it’s an abuse of language and ideas. Cruz’s own Cubano father, Rafael Cruz, is an immigrant; he came here legally, and that’s different.

Nor are they “migrants.” By definition, migrants come here to pick crops, and then, at season’s end, they go back home. No, these people are coming here to stay–– not only to escape Latin America, which is one ginormous failed state, but also because they simply want to get on Uncle Sam’s dole, pure and simple, and to reap other rewards that evil, self-serving Democrats will give them in exchange for votes.

De Gaulle famously said, more than 50 years ago, that he was not against immigration per se. He simply believed it should be extremely restricted, cutting it off by about 99.5 per cent or so, or else “France would cease to be France.” And Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre shared de Gaulle’s observation, correctly assessing the situation around this same period as France began to be swamped by untold Mohammedan hordes. Both men were absolutely right, as––two or three generations later––modern France is now sadly beset by the biggest population of Mohammedan Orcs in all of Europe. And in another generation or two, will we see the death of Europe and the creation of “Eurabia”? God help.

As for Teddy Boy and the bridge to nowhere, it spans the Rio Grande and connects Del Rio, Texas with Mexican cesspits. When Cruz visited Sept. 16, the number of people there had increased tenfold in eight days, exceeding 10,000, most of them actually not Latin Americans but Haitians. This followed a Sept. 8 decision by the illegal, usurping Biden administration to cancel deportation flights to Haiti, as Cruz informed.

“This is a disaster,” he said, “and it is a manmade disaster.”

How a bunch of Haitians should wash up in Mexico and Texas, not the entirely closer Florida, is not clear. And yet it happened.

To be fair, Cruz has apparently matured much in the five years since Donaldus Rex beat him. I find that I like him more now, and he looks better with the beard. The beard is him. He praised the personnel of the U.S. Border Patrol, who face the Sisyphean task of trying to do a job their own treasonous government won’t let them do. Cruz also took the Bidenites to task for allowing such a humanitarian crisis to occur.

“This is not humane,” he said. “This is lawless, and it is inviting suffering.”

Such a large throng of people, said Cruz, is beyond the border patrol’s capacity to handle. And as he just told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, the satanic, usurping, treasonous and illegal administration of the irredeemably evil Clueless Joe—the reanimated corpse occupying the White House at the behest of China—deliberately shifted its focus and (they hope) that of the public to the border crisis in order to draw attention away from the Bidenites’ abject failure in the Vietnam redux of Afghanistan.

Damnant quod non intelligunt
I am appreciative of the recent fan mail I’ve received. Right-thinking people get it, and real conservatives understand this stuff.

But I can just hear my liberal detractors now, making their usual inane comments from the peanut gallery. Still, it’s impossible to take seriously such illiterate idiots, possessed as they are of all the attention span of a moth and a grasp of history not even as good as that of your average fourth grader. They are evidently incapable of reading anything longer than 100-word Weekly Reader-style blurbs, and I doubt seriously that a single one of them has ever read a book in his life. Not once have I encountered a single sentence from them that wasn’t hobbled by multiple misspelt words and other stylistic and grammatical errors. Thus they don’t count. ¡Basta!

In the immortal words of St. Paul:

“To me, it is a very small thing to be judged by you.”

Liberals, who blight everything they touch, are traitors, plain and simple, and they are absolutely the cause of all of our problems today. They do not think, as they’re incapable of reason, rather like rabid dogs. No, they can only emote, and they do that rather like bratty 3-year-olds, trapped in a forever-now bubble of selfishness. To a liberal, a thing is true simply because they feel it is, not because they actually know anything based upon empirical data and evidence.

“But Lark!” they wail. “Yer joos a ray-sis! How kin yew say sitch thangs?”

Easy. I know the data. Liars may figure, but figures don’t lie. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protections, as of August, more than a quarter million of los ilegales have come north of our border so far this year. And the department has had encounters with more than 1.4 million such people.

And no, I’m not a racist at all. My wife is Jewish, and we’ve both had black bosses. And we have friends who are Spanish, Brasilian, Peruvian and Mexican. And whilst I studied French in high school and German in college (later teaching myself that language, as the prof was deliberately going too slow in order to accommodate her typically stupid and lazy American students), I can get us in and out of a Mexican restaurant without using a word of English. I can also tell you all about the Cristero War of the 1920’s––a thing of which most modern Mexican students are sadly ignorant and the Mexican government (as illegitimate now as ever it was, lo these 200 years since its illegal independence) ignores and covers up to this day.

No, this matter is not at all about racism or xenophobia. It is all about a concern for safety and a time-honoured tradition of American cultural and national identity, not la raza.

One chap from Guadalajara attends our chapel, St. Anthony of Padua Traditional Roman Catholic Church, in Mount Holly. Several years ago, after Mass, this highly cultured gentleman, who attended university in Spain, spoke candidly with me about the Latino invader crisis. He took a very dim view of said Hispanic hordes, shot through as they are with drug dealers, drug mules, gunrunners, smugglers, human traffickers, paedophiles, murderers and thieves, all seeking to escape justice in the craphole countries whence they’ve come.

“Ay, Don Tomás,” he said, “I came up here for the American dream, not the Mexican nightmare.”

And the “marque número dos” option does no one any favours. Unlike Canada (and Québec really needs to be separate and ruled by France and Louis XX), America is not officially bilingual. But over the past 40 years, thanks to said illegal immigration, the country has become unofficially de facto if not de jure bilingual. This gives los Latinos little incentive to learn English, and it gives them a false impression of greater America. Still, Miami and such places are unique, and the second-largest city in Florida is now so thoroughly Spanish-speaking, it might as well be ceded to Cuba.

“Joo een Mee-ah-mee, now, baby!” as one angry Cubana put it not long ago. “Joo wanna be een America, go to Orrr-lantho!”

My cousin, a Miami native and the ex-wife of a vice and homicide detective, recently left that cesspit of a city, with its crime and drug-related violence, and moved to North Carolina. She got tired of her daughter being called “la gringa” in school, and the tipping point came when she asked for help at a Wal-Mart, only to have the clerk tell her:

“Perdon. Yo no hablo ingles.”

And this is modern America. God help.

The fallout of the Cristero War
Talking of Mexico, how did this crisis on our border begin?

The Cristero War (1926-29) was a civil war in which common Catholic peasant folk rightly revolted against the satanic, Masonic, violently atheistic, mentally unhinged and anti-Catholic Mexican dictator, Plutarco Elías Calles. This murderous sociopath infamously declared:

“I am the personal enemy of Jesus Christ!”

Calling the Catholic Church “a political movement,” not a religious entity and belief in Christ broadly an antiquated superstition, Calles sought to suppress and destroy Holy Mother Church in order to bring about a socialist state (sound familiar?). All over Mexico, Calles and his henchmen murdered thousands of priests, monks, nuns and ordinary Catholic men, women and children. It was a kind of smaller-scale genocide, rather like the attempted total liquidation of the Vendée province by the Masonic, atheistic, anti-Catholic soldiers of Napoléon in the 1790’s.

Shamefully, the American government (there’s a reason nobody remembers those incompetent presidents of the 1920’s) and the wicked Ku Klux Klan (quelle horreur) supported the Calles government out of their own anti-Catholic bigotry and selfish money interests. Why would the former ultimately get involved? Mexican oil (quelle surprise). But to be fair, the Cristeros also had their American supporters: chiefly the Knights of Columbus, which back then was actually still a bona fide Catholic organisation and not shot through with liberalism and heresy as it is today.

The war created many martyrs and saints. Men fought bravely against the evil Calles government. They were stood up before firing squads and courageously met their end with defiant cries of “Long live Christ the King!”

The war ended in a ceasefire, with some of the Cristeros’ demands for religious freedom met. Yet to this day, the Catholic Church remains persecuted in Mexico. A quarter of a million people died in the war, and another 250,000 escaped to America. This began the first major wave of Mexican immigration.

And a genuine immigration it was, too. These were good people––devout Catholics, possessed of large families and a commendable work ethic––all just seeking a better way of life in a better nation with better laws: a place where they could be left alone without interference from a hyper-intrusive government. By the decade of 1944-54, Latin American immigration stateside increased an astonishing 6,000 per cent, according to the Texas State Historical Association.

Ironically, though you had an entirely better class of Latin American immigrant in those days, you also had racial and religious bigotry at their peak. Most Americans didn’t want a bunch of garlic-eating, swarthy Catholics from Mexico coming on to our shores. That’s honestly how they felt in those days. But that ethos began to change in the wake of the Hippie Revolt of the 1960’s, when shame compounded shame, and two wrongs of course didn’t make a right.

Unfortunately, also changing was the character of all too many Latin American immigrants. Seeing the poor example of relativism, mindless sensualism and hedonism that Hippieism promulgated, born in California and spread round the world, and with the devastation and confusion wrought by Vatican II, people in Mexico and points south by the hundreds of thousands cast off Catholicism, conservatism, tradition and normalcy in favour of sex, drugs and rock and roll. And with the American government’s fatuous prohibition of drugs––which should be legalised, federalised and taxed, thus destroying the drug cartels overnight––there was created a curious kind of kingpin entrepreneur: the drug lord.

The drug cartels control entire communities and provinces in Mexico, Colombia, Perú and elsewhere. The U.S. State Department has for long years now strongly warned Americans not to travel to Mexico at all, as it’s just too dangerous. Want to drive over that bridge? You’ve got to pay the cartels. Give your money to Jorge, the 15-year-old with the machine gun, over there. Cartel members threaten, extort and murder at will, and finding a Latin American police force that isn’t hopelessly corrupt is like finding snow in June.

No wonder people want to leave these crapholes. Venezuela was once prosperous until socialism destroyed it. Yes, southern Chile and Argentina work. But they’re the exceptions. Nobody emigrates from there. Those people tend to be happy where they are. And Patagonia remains covertly controlled by the local German population, so of course it’s very well run.

Alas, too many of the people attempting to escape Latin America haven’t been properly vetted. Yes, there are many good people among them. But all too many––as many Mexicans and other Hispanics themselves have told me and I’ve seen with my own eyes––are a lot of neo-pagan, tattooed freaks, complete with missing teeth and earrings in their noses and other places they should never be. They’re clad immodestly and possessed of rotted brains addled by horrid music, drugs and drink. Gang-related problems are very real; just ask my wife’s California relatives.

Talking of which, los ilegales have brought leprosy and even the bubonic plague and other diseases long vanquished in the West into Los Angeles. Do you really want to be quite literally plagued by a lot of unhealthy, unwashed, disease-carrying criminals?

Will anything be done? Very doubtful. The Democrat leaders, whose baby illegal immigration is and who live safely in gated, guarded neighbourhoods, don’t give an Irish damn about such things, as they’re not affected by them. They just want the votes of these people. That’s all.

In a sad irony, three generations ago, with an exponentially better class of immigrant, they would have voted Republican. They were believing, practising Catholics and family-oriented, and they espoused traditional values. Today, all too many are not. They’ve rejected the religion of Mami y Papi; they’re addicted to drugs; they sire countless bastards; and they live by the destructive, poisonous creed of the self-centred, God-hating Hippie. All very sad.

A now little-known Eisenhower Era law would prevent such things. In 1956, a law was passed that forbade entry into the United States by people “inimical to America and the American way of life.” Whilst obviously this was aimed at Russians, as said era was the height of the Cold War, after all, it logically could and should be extended to Mohammedans, communists and los ilegales.

But Democrats don’t care about enforcing our laws. If only the existing laws were enforced, it would knock a big chunk out of the problem. Yet Democrats, as we all know, don’t want that to happen. They want the votes. And they’ll take them anyway they can get them, whether they come from dead people or from people who aren’t even citizens and thus have no right to vote.

Many advocate a Marshall Plan for Latin America. Clean up things south of the border, and people won’t want to come here. Maybe we could make the drug cartels pay for it. Arrest those men, expropriate their wealth, and there you are. Do that, and you could reverse the immigration problem in perhaps a generation.

But will our spineless, brainless politicians support such an idea? Of course not. It’s too logical. They prefer to whine, waste money and tilt at windmills (“systemic racism,” “white privilege,” “critical race theory,” and all manner of bovine scatology) that just ain’t there. Liberals are delusional and childish, and they’re exceedingly good at seeing things that just don’t exist. As P.J. O’Rourke has observed, “Liberalism is the culture of the spoilt brat.”

En-masse repatriation is another answer. Certainly it’s talked about in Europe as the answer to the Mohammedan Question. And hey, if it worked for li’l Joey Stalin, who pulled himself up by his elevator boots and expelled a million Germans from occupied Poland in 1946, it could certainly work today.

But the Democrats won’t do that. The Republicans, too, liberal as they are in their own way, probably also lack the kishkas to do so. Like so many little Neros, they will fiddle while Rome burns, and they’ll nice themselves to death whilst America slowly becomes Mexico North.

Rome lasted many centuries. Rome itself may have fallen gradually some 15 to 16 centuries ago. But when you consider that Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire didn’t collapse until 1453 (only yesterday in that part of the world), when they were tragically overrun by invading Mohammedan Orcs who would one day give this usurped, stolen land the stupid name of “Turkey,” Rome, in a profound sense, really lasted the better part of two millennia.

Yet it still didn’t last for ever. Neither will America and the West, I fear; not if current trends remain uncorrected. When Rome fell, most of its soldiers were comprised of Germanic barbarians who couldn’t even speak Latin. That lack of social cohesion and inherently divided loyalties helped bring down the Empire in the West. It broke up into smaller countries, which were in turn usually broken up into even smaller countries. Consider the divisions of Spain, France, England and the German lands. The Italian Peninsula itself regressed, lapsing into smaller nations and sometimes even conflicts of city versus city.

Such a fate awaits the American Empire, as I desperately worry. The Hispanic invasion and insane liberalism will form a pincer movement, eventually leading to America’s collapse, if our present courses are not turned.

I have enormous respect for Spain and its glorious culture. I venerate El Cid and Cervantes. On certain occasions, I fly the old Spanish flag that flew when the noble and heroic Francisco Franco governed that nation as the Catholic confessional state that Almighty Christ Himself intended it should be. Franco and the equally unjustly maligned Augusto Pinochet, the famous dictator of Chile, were real men who knew, by God, how to get things done. Their muy macho ilk is sorely lacking throughout Latin America and the rest of the globe today.

Spain was the only nation in history to kick out both the Mohammedans (in 1492) and the communists (in 1939). Were the whole of the Spanish-speaking Americas once again governed directly from Madrid by King Felipe VI, as God intended and with all the Christian presuppositions that would entail, Latin America could be put to right eventually, and there would be no crisis of los ilegales.

Alas, taken broadly, the whole of Latin America is a place too stupid and too corrupt to figure this out. Their countries are dunghills of chaos and decay, because they reject Christ the King, His Church and the legitimate absolute rule of Felipe. And the day may well come when the communists (many, I daresay, from Venezuela) are triumphant, and Christians of all stripes are rounded up to be placed in camps or face firing squads.

And when that happens, may we have the courage of los Cristeros. May we stand there with stiff backs and clear eyes, looking straight into the sallow, suilline faces of our oppressors and assassins, and let our last words be those of the Cristeros, echoing down through the ages:

“¡Viva Cristo Rey!”
